ResponsibilitiesThis position will be work from home, with regular travel to the various Bakersfield and Tehachapi clinics.Position Summary:This position is responsible for assessing, designing, facilitating, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for Dignity Health Medical Foundation clinical staff (medical assistants and nursing staff), with the goal of improving job knowledge, enhancing skills, and ensuring that clinical staff are able to provide excellent support for physicians and patients.
The position is responsible for New Employee Orientation of clinical staff, as well as ongoing education, one on one coaching and development as well as program and process development for clinical personnel. The Clinical Educator is responsible for the day-to-day clinical leadership to the non-physician clinical staff, along with leadership and oversight of training and development of supervisors, leads, and employees across the organization. Position ensures clinical services are effective, meets all regulatory requirements, and provides patients with quality health care utilizing appropriate staff resources.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:– 2 years experience in a physician practice setting. Content expertise in the type of work performed in a multi-specialty group practice, ambulatory setting.
– Experience in the development and presentation of training courses.
– Experience coaching others and identifying learning needs.
– Clear and current CA Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
– Current BLS through American Heart Association.Preferred Qualifications:– Education or precepting experience preferred.
– I.V. certification preferred.
