QA Registered Nurse Essential Functions

• Works with the clinical management team regarding policy and procedure updates and revisions, current regulations, and ensuring compliance for both hospice clinical services and operations
• Responsible for creating an environment that is conducive to achieving professional goals among the employees through training and educational resources
• Provides educational opportunities and in-services to hospice employees to meet quality standards, agency policy, and all regulatory standards
• Participates in Clinical Management team meetings as requested
• Serves as a resource for current information on national, state, or regional requirements, standards, and clinical practice guidelines
• Demonstrates evidence of continued professional development
• Accesses personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and the ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department

QA Registered Nurse (RN/LPN) Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and has a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) in which he/she practices (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
• Three (3) years of experience as a Nurse and One (1) year experience in hospice or home care preferred
• Considerable experience and/or knowledge of performance improvement activities preferred
