Job description: RNJohn Knox Village is looking for caring Per Diem RNThrough strong personal relationships and decision-making in the home, each RN is entrusted to help support a meaningful life.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES * Competently provide direct client care according to the Plan of Treatment/Medical Doctors Orders, within the scope of practice of the Nurse Practice Act. Direct Care includes: Administration of Medications, treatments, education and personal care.

• Maintain a complete, accurate and confidential clinical record for the client receiving care.
• Effectively communicate with the DON or Case Manager regarding private duty client progress.
• Effectively communicate with the Clinical Supervisor of the assigned Medicare Agency regarding Medicare Client progress.
• Interact with clients and families to determine and meet any special needs related to their care.
• Demonstrate compliance with infection control measures as a role model for Home Health Aides.

POSITION SKILL REQUIREMENTS (Competencies)Technical skills and Knowledge

• Valid RN License from the State of Florida
• Valid CPR Certificate
• Relevant nursing experience Home Health preferred.
• Demonstrated competence with basic computer skills including but not limited to email, electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
• Must have the capacity to learn and become proficient with various Medicare software documentation programs.
• Must be proficient or be capable of learning nursing treatment skills.
• Must demonstrate standard assessment skills for a geriatric client resulting in sound clinical judgement.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, run throughout the day. Must be able to transfer clients effectively using good body mechanics. Must be able to push a wheelchair with a client weighing 150-200lbs.
